Police Arrest Karan Singh and Manoj Kumar for Jewellery and Cash Theft in Mauli Jagran

Stolen jewellery and Rs 12 lakh recovered; Rakesh Kumar’s house targeted in burglary

In a swift response to a burglary case, police arrested two individuals for stealing gold and silver jewellery and Rs 20 lakh in cash from the residence of Rakesh Kumar, a goldsmith from Mauli Jagran.

The burglary was reported on April 26, when Rakesh Kumar returned home from Haridwar to find his house had been broken into. Upon further inspection, he discovered that his gold and silver jewellery and Rs 20 lakh had been stolen.

A team led by SSP Kanwardeep Kaur and SP City Geetanjali launched a thorough investigation, which led them to identify the suspects. The accused, Karan Singh and Manoj Kumar, were apprehended near the railway line in Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran.

During the investigation, police recovered gold jewellery and Rs 12 lakh from the possession of the arrested individuals. Authorities continue to probe the case, as a portion of the stolen amount remains unaccounted for.

The swift arrests underscore the commitment of local police in tackling crime and ensuring justice for victims of theft.
