Thiruvananthapuram police arrested a 27-year-old man, Abhijith Prince of Kattumpuram, Attingal, during a patrol near Society Mukku on Sunday night. The police seized 3 grams of ganja concealed in a plastic cover inside his innerwear.
The accused was spotted loitering at the junction during odd hours and appeared unable to give satisfactory answers when questioned. Police discovered the drugs during a search and noted that Prince was waiting for a customer, though he did not reveal the identity of the buyer.
Authorities have registered a case under Section 20(b)(ii)A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Prince’s mobile phone was also seized for further investigation to uncover possible connections within the drug network.
