BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A Boynton Beach man was arrested early Tuesday on allegations of child cruelty and battery, according to the Boynton Beach Police Department.
Peter Jeanbaptiste, identified as a Black male, was taken into custody under Report No. 564510. Authorities say the charges include cruelty toward a child without great bodily harm and battery causing bodily harm.
Police have not released further details about the circumstances of the incident, the age of the alleged victim, or the relationship between the parties, citing the ongoing investigation.
Jeanbaptiste was booked following his arrest and is expected to face initial court proceedings in the coming days. As with all criminal matters, he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Authorities indicated that additional information may be released as the case progresses.
