North Haven, Conn. (WTNH) — A 40-year-old East Haven woman, Patricia Cole, was arrested for shoplifting at a North Haven Target on April 2. Cole, who was caught attempting to flee the scene with stolen items, now faces charges of larceny in the sixth degree.
North Haven police responded to the Target store on Universal Drive after receiving reports of a known shoplifter on the premises. As police entered the store, Cole attempted to escape through the back emergency exit while pushing a cart full of stolen items. An officer waiting outside successfully apprehended her.
In addition to the charges related to the North Haven theft, Cole is also linked to thefts at two other businesses in the area. Authorities revealed that Cole has multiple outstanding arrest warrants from other towns, including Madison, Derby, and Newington.
