The Detection of Crime Branch has arrested Parvezkhan Nakum, who allegedly duped dozens of people by offering cars for sale and then disappearing with their money.
According to police reports, Nakum would showcase different cars to potential buyers and persuade them to pay a partial or full amount. Once the payment was made, he would vanish without delivering the vehicle.
Investigations uncovered that Nakum committed nine such offences across multiple Gujarat cities, including Surat, Amreli, and Ahmedabad, defrauding numerous victims.
Authorities confirmed that the accused was wanted in several cases, and his arrest has brought relief to those who fell victim to his scams.
