Acting on a tip-off, Haluwating Police Station in Sivasagar district seized 4.2 kg of suspected cannabis from the residence of Pabitra Duarah, a resident of Duarah village, on Thursday.
The confiscated cannabis was properly documented and prosecuted in the presence of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Sivasagar. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
Police sources confirmed that the investigation is ongoing to uncover further details and identify any potential connections in the drug supply chain.
