Officer Martrevius Bell Charged with Theft in West Memphis

West Memphis Police Place Officer on Leave Amid Investigation

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Officer Martrevius Bell of the West Memphis Police Department has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest on theft charges, the City of West Memphis announced.

Bell was charged with theft under $1,000 related to an incident in Crittenden County. Details surrounding the case have not been disclosed as the matter is under active investigation.

The city emphasized its commitment to maintaining departmental integrity and accountability. “At this time, no further details will be released as this remains an active investigation,” the statement said.

Bell remains on leave while the Internal Affairs division conducts a thorough review.
