NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A 25-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after officers discovered a significant stash of drugs and firearms during a proactive patrol, according to the North Charleston Police Department.
Anisah Brown was charged with trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine base, along with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and Schedule IV narcotics, possession of stolen goods under $2,000, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Officers were patrolling near the EconoLodge on Northside Drive amid increased reports of drug activity when they spotted a vehicle idling in the parking lot. Upon contact, they identified Brown as the occupant and detected a strong marijuana odor.
A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed a backpack containing over 39 grams of methamphetamine, more than 37 grams of fentanyl, 7 grams of cocaine, over 12 grams of cocaine base, 16 Xanax bars, and more than 20 grams of marijuana.
Additionally, officers recovered two firearms, one of which had been reported stolen to the North Charleston Police Department.
Brown was arrested without incident and transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center for processing.
