On Sunday, Nawabganj police apprehended two drug peddlers, Mohd Akram (57) from Nawabganj and Abdul Khaliq, also known as Pintku (35) from Varanasi. The duo was caught while attempting to deliver 24.30 kg of illegal ganja. The arrest took place near Tajpur, commonly referred to as Bhikanpur Road, where the suspects were intercepted.
Authorities revealed that Mohd Akram is closely related to a notorious gangster currently behind bars, further implicating him in the illegal trade.
