Nathan Breton Arrested for Shooting Outside Lewiston Bar

Altercation at The Cage leads to gunfire, victim suffers leg wound

LEWISTON, Maine (WGME) — A 28-year-old Maine man has been arrested for allegedly shooting another man outside The Cage, a bar in Lewiston, early Sunday morning.

Incident Details
Lewiston police responded to 97 Ash St. just after midnight following reports of a gunshot victim outside the bar. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 29-year-old man on the street with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was transported to Central Maine Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Suspect Identified and Arrested
After an investigation, police arrested Nathan Breton, 28, of Greene. Authorities say Breton and the victim had an argument inside the bar before taking the dispute outside, where Breton allegedly shot the victim in the leg.

Charges and Bail
Breton has been charged with reckless conduct and elevated aggravated assault. He was booked at the Androscoggin County Jail, where his bail was set at $1,000.

The investigation remains ongoing.
