A 38-year-old woman, Naritsara, has been arrested for stealing valuables worth approximately 600,000 baht from a luxury home in Chon Buri.
The arrest took place on March 25, following an investigation led by Police Colonel Somchai Thiwangsa and Deputy Superintendent Thanongsak Suwannawat of Ban Bueng Police Station. Authorities found Naritsara sleeping in a rented room in Nong Phai Kaeo subdistrict, where she was taken into custody.
Planned Burglary and Theft
Naritsara admitted that she was in desperate need of money. She drove her Toyota Vios aimlessly before stopping near a cassava field along Chao Por Suea-Thung Klet Route, Moo 5, Map Phai subdistrict. She then walked through the field, climbed over a wall into the luxury residential area, and carefully selected a house that appeared unoccupied.
She targeted homes with few or no shoes outside, avoiding those with signs of multiple residents. Spotting a gap in the fence covered by bushes, she entered through an unlocked shrine room door. Inside, she even helped herself to a drink from the refrigerator before proceeding upstairs.
Naritsara then stole a gold necklace, gold-framed amulets, rings, and other valuables, which she later sold at a gold shop in Nong Chak subdistrict.
Arrest and Confession
Upon her arrest, police recovered some stolen items and summoned the homeowner to verify them. The owner expressed relief but was disappointed that some valuables were still missing.
When confronted, Naritsara knelt before the homeowner and pleaded for forgiveness, admitting her actions. However, the victim insisted on letting the legal process unfold.
Police have charged Naritsara and are conducting further investigations to determine if she was involved in additional crimes before proceeding with legal action in court.
