In a significant breakthrough, the Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team of Hyderabad, in collaboration with Bandlaguda Police, apprehended six members of a gang allegedly conspiring to commit murder. The operation led to the seizure of 12 coconut shell cutting knives, five mobile phones, and a Maruti Ciaz car.

The gang was led by notorious rowdy sheeter Mohd Jaber (43), a real estate dealer from Pahadi Shareef, RR District. Jaber has a long criminal history, including 12 cases involving murder, extortion, snatching, and arms offenses. Once a close aide to ex-rowdy sheeter Mohd Murtuza Ali, Jaber turned into a rival following personal disputes.

Jaber has twice been detained under the Preventive Detention Act and is currently wanted in an arms case at Langer House Police Station.

The arrested include Zameer Khan (30), a welding worker, along with Syed Sha Abdul Jabbar, Mohammed Rahmath, and Syed Shah Abdul Mannan.

According to police, the gang planned to kill Murtuza Ali, using coconut shell knives as weapons. This plot follows a previous murder attempt in 2019 that resulted in Jaber’s arrest.

The police are continuing investigations to prevent further violent acts.
