Mohammed Shadarsah Arrested for Extortion in Kollam

The Kollam West police have successfully arrested Mohammed Shadarsah, the main suspect behind the extortion of money from a Kollam resident through threatening WhatsApp calls. Shadarsah, aged 31 and a resident of Nabeesa Manzil, Petta, Thiruvananthapuram, was apprehended in Bengaluru.

The arrest follows the previous capture of Arun S.S., 25, an accomplice of Shadarsah. Information obtained from Arun led the police to the main suspect. With this recent arrest, the police have now nabbed six individuals involved in the extortion gang. The case is part of ongoing investigations into the use of WhatsApp for criminal activities.
