After more than nine months, police have successfully cracked the case of a daring gold jewellery robbery in Mohali’s busy Phase-10 market. Two accused, Amir Khan alias Ali, 27, from Haryana, and Sagar, 22, from Mohali, were arrested from their salon “Scissor Man” in Phase 11, where they had been running a front as hairstylists.

The duo had held the shop owner’s mother at gunpoint during the daylight robbery, stealing 350 grams of gold and leaving the community shaken. The CIA team, led by Harminder Singh, apprehended them after a thorough investigation using both human intelligence and technical surveillance.

Police also seized a .32-bore pistol, five live cartridges, three gold chains, two artificial bangles, and the black T-shirt labeled “Gangster” that Sagar wore during the crime.
