FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man has been arrested and charged with murder after the body of 41-year-old Angel Hoban was discovered inside her Fresno home on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
Fresno police responded just after 3 p.m. to the 4000 block of East Olive after a report came in about a deceased woman. The woman’s 12-year-old child had returned home from school and found Hoban unresponsive inside the residence.
Upon arrival, officers and EMS discovered Hoban lying on the floor with visible blood near her chest and head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide detectives and members of the Coroner’s office later determined that Hoban had several stab wounds to her upper body.
Authorities identified Michael Gonzales as a suspect, and he was arrested on suspicion of murder. The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to uncover further details about the crime.
