MANSFIELD — A Massachusetts woman was arrested in connection with the theft of more than $137,000 from a 95-year-old man in Mansfield.
Lisa Margaret Perreault, 66, of Jamaica Plain, Mass., was taken into custody on Nov. 3 when Troopers attempted to serve an active warrant. The investigation began between December 2023 and December 2024 after a worker reported suspicious activity involving Perreault.
Perreault had moved into the man’s home in January 2018, under the agreement that she would cover room and board. She allegedly persuaded the man to transfer property into a trust, granting her $110,000 upon his death.
Investigators traced over $137,000 in unauthorized purchases made on the victim’s credit cards to Perreault. This included $33,602 in 2023, $43,438 in 2024, and $77,040 across both years, with additional amounts in 2022 remaining unclear.
She was charged with two counts of larceny in the first degree and one count of less than $500 on a revoked payment card. Perreault was released on a $75,000 cash/surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Rockville Superior Court on Nov. 18.
