Chennai’s Marina police successfully cracked a robbery case on Tuesday by arresting Ramadoss, 25, a resident of Nochi Nagar, near Srinivasapuram.
The incident occurred on Monday when D. Baskar (65) and his wife B. Malarkodi (53) of Old Washermenpet were returning home after visiting their daughter in Mylapore. As they walked along Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai near the Police Headquarters, two men on a motorcycle approached them from behind.
Ramadoss was identified as one of the suspects involved in the attack. Police conducted an immediate investigation and apprehended him, recovering evidence related to the robbery. Authorities continue to search for the second suspect involved in the case.
The police have assured stricter monitoring in the area to prevent similar incidents and urged the public to stay vigilant.
