Manipur police have apprehended Inaocha Khaidem in connection with the brutal torture of his 21-year-old wife, Nengneihoi. The arrest was made following the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) at the women’s police station in Churachandpur district.
According to the FIR, Khaidem, along with other family members, subjected his wife to severe physical abuse. Nengneihoi, who is currently receiving medical attention at the Churachandpur district hospital, has been described as being in critical condition due to the extent of the violence.
Nengneihoi hails from Tangjing in Bishnupur district but had been living with her husband in New Checkon, Imphal. The incident has sparked outrage in the local community, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
