Two men have been arrested for stealing a motorcycle from a residence in KK Nagar, Trichy, on October 30. The accused were identified as R. Manikandan (24) of Muthaliyar Chathiram in Palakkarai and S. Jacob Stephan (24) of Kooni Bazaar in Beema Nagar.

The complaint was lodged by M. Liyakath Ali (54), a resident of Jailaniya Street in Subramaniyapuram. Ali had parked his motorcycle outside his house before leaving for Villupuram. Upon returning on November 1, he discovered that his vehicle was missing and promptly filed a complaint with the KK Nagar police.

Acting on the complaint, police registered a case under Section 303 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for theft and launched an investigation. Analysis of CCTV footage from the area revealed the involvement of the two suspects.

The police team traced and arrested Manikandan and Jacob Stephan. They were later produced before a magistrate, who remanded them in judicial custody at Trichy Central Prison.
