A woman from Magee has been arrested following several attempts to burglarize vehicles and homes in a local neighborhood.
On February 11, 2025, Magee Police were called to investigate suspicious activity on 13th Street NE around 5:45 a.m. Officers were informed by a homeowner that an individual, later identified as Alexis Franks, had been trying to open car doors and enter residential carports. The homeowner further stated that this was not the first time Franks had trespassed on the property.
Further investigation revealed that Franks had been walking around the neighborhood, attempting to enter multiple homes and vehicles. Surveillance footage from the area confirmed her presence and actions.
Officers later located Franks walking on 6th Street SE, where she was detained and taken to the Magee Police Department. She was charged with attempted burglary.
