A woman has been arrested and charged with murder following a deadly shooting in Florence County, South Carolina. The incident occurred last Saturday near Hyde Circle in Florence, prompting a response from deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim, identified by the Florence County Coroner as 46-year-old James Al Abraham of Florence, was found at the scene with fatal gunshot wounds.
Investigators say 32-year-old Latiffa Lashonda Rembert is accused of shooting Abraham with a handgun. Authorities have not released a motive for the shooting at this time.
Rembert has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. She is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center without bond, and no court date has been announced yet.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing.
