A 24-year-old man, Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera Rosa, has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of his girlfriend, Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, 23. Her body was discovered on April 17, more than two weeks after she was reported missing from her home in Waldorf, Maryland.
Guerra was last seen on March 31, and her boyfriend, Rosa, reported her missing on April 2. Rosa is the father of Guerra’s two children and initially cooperated with authorities. However, following an investigation, law enforcement discovered evidence linking him to her death. Guerra’s body was found buried five feet deep in Cedarville State Forest after detectives used digital information to locate the area.
Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Diane Richardson explained that the dense woods would have made it nearly impossible to locate Guerra’s remains without the help of digital data. “We just never gave up,” Richardson said.
During their search, investigators also found “unusual and suspicious” activity at Rosa’s home, including fraudulent documents. These led authorities to confirm that Rosa was in the country illegally. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) took Rosa into custody, and he was held out of state as authorities await his return to Maryland.
Rosa’s uncle, Rolvin Eduardo Bererra Bererra, 37, was also arrested as an accessory for actions he took in Prince George’s County after Guerra’s murder.
Despite the tragic nature of the case, the discovery of Guerra’s body provided some closure to her grieving family. Guerra’s two children are currently staying with a family member. Charles County Sheriff Troy Berry expressed his condolences, stating, “While this was not the ending that we all hoped for, I am grateful to all those who worked so hard to find Ms. Guerra.”
The cause of Guerra’s death is still under investigation, and her body was sent for an autopsy to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
