Atlanta, GA — Kevin Peters was arrested and charged after allegedly trespassing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on July 9.
Police say Peters cut through a fence to enter the air operations area near the runways. Following a 911 call, airport special response teams and K-9 units launched a search for the suspect. An airport maintenance worker later spotted Peters in a grassy area near a runway.
To ensure safety, flights on nearby runways were temporarily stopped while officers moved in. Peters was apprehended without incident, and police recovered a bolt cutter used to cut the fence.
Security footage shows the moment officers handcuffed Peters at the scene.
