SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KFGO) — A 35-year-old man is facing multiple charges following a Friday morning crime spree that culminated in the theft of a city bus.

According to Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens, the series of events began shortly after 5 a.m. when Kenneth Holland broke into an apartment and stole a set of car keys.

Holland then drove the stolen car to another location and set it on fire, Clemens said. From there, he allegedly stole a Chevy Impala from a gas station, then proceeded to break the window of a downtown business.

After abandoning the Impala at a second gas station, Holland reportedly escalated the situation by stealing a Sioux Area Metro city bus and driving off in it.

When officers located him, Holland attempted to flee on foot, but was quickly apprehended.

Police have not yet released the full list of charges, but say the investigation is ongoing.
