Canacona police have arrested Sampad Ronad, a native of Karwar, Karnataka, for the theft of a motorcycle from Maxem-Loliem in Canacona. The complainant, Nilesh Prabhudessai of Canacona, reported that his Hero Honda Passion Pro motorcycle, valued at approximately Rs. 20,000, was stolen from an open parking space at Mashem-Loliem.
Following the complaint, the police registered the case under section 303(2) of the BNS 2023 and initiated an investigation. Sampad Ronad was apprehended after interrogation and charged with the theft.
The accused was presented before the JMFC court in Canacona, which granted a five-day police custody remand. Further investigation is being handled by ASI Rohidas G Gaonkar of the Canacona Police Station.
