The Karkala Police have arrested two men for illegally transferring nearly Rs 9 lakh from the account of their employer after obtaining his Google Pay pin. The accused, Karthik Shetty (28) of Kukkundur and Ratnaker (50) of Tellar, were working as home nurses at the residence of the victim, Shashidhar.
Karthik was appointed as a home nurse through a firm run by Ratnaker. The two men colluded and managed to acquire Shashidhar’s Google Pay pin. Using this information, they transferred a significant amount of money from his account without his consent.
The arrests took place in Dahisar, Mumbai, after a thorough investigation.
