SHREVEPORT, La. — Kameron Jackson has been arrested, according to a news release issued Wednesday by the Shreveport Police Department.
Jackson had been wanted in connection with an ongoing home improvement fraud investigation led by the department’s Financial Crimes Task Force. Detectives say Jackson defrauded a local resident out of $47,700 after failing to complete a contracted residential construction project.
According to investigators, the victim hired Jackson and made significant payments, but the only work completed was demolition. After receiving the funds, Jackson reportedly ceased all progress and never returned to the job site.
Shreveport authorities had previously requested public assistance in locating Jackson. It’s unclear at this time what charges he faces following his arrest, but police confirmed he is no longer at large.
