Kamarion Young Arrested for Second-Degree Murder in Shreveport Teen Shooting

17-year-old charged after Victor Samuels' fatal shooting on Harding Street

SHREVEPORT, La. — A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that took place Tuesday night, resulting in the death of another teenager.

Kamarion Young, 17, was apprehended with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Task Force and is currently held at Shreveport City Jail on a charge of second-degree murder.

The victim, 17-year-old Victor Samuels, was shot just before 10 p.m. in the 8300 block of Harding Street. Samuels was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives from Shreveport Police Department’s violent crimes unit determined that Samuels had been involved in a shootout with another male. Young was identified as the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
