Kallakurichi Man Arrested for Cheating Job Seekers with Fake Railway Jobs

S. Vinayagamoorthy promised jobs in Southern Railway, arrested after complaint

The Kallakurichi police have arrested a 40-year-old man, S. Vinayagamoorthy, for allegedly deceiving job seekers by promising them positions in Southern Railway. The arrest followed a formal complaint filed by A. Ravi, a 39-year-old resident of Kallakurichi district, who claimed to have been misled by Vinayagamoorthy.

Vinayagamoorthy, from Kooteripattu in Villupuram district, is accused of luring several job aspirants by offering fake job placements with Southern Railway in exchange for money. He was apprehended by local authorities on Thursday, May 24, 2024.

The police are continuing their investigation into the case to determine the full extent of the scam and identify any additional victims.
