A man wanted by Swindon Police has been arrested after taunting the police under his own wanted appeal on Facebook. Jordan Dodson, who had been the subject of a police search for multiple reported incidents, took to the comments of the police post to mock the authorities, leading to his quick capture.
On April 7, Swindon Police issued an appeal for information regarding Dodson, who was wanted for questioning in relation to several reported incidents. The appeal stated: “We are currently looking for Jordan Dodson who is wanted for questioning in relation to multiple incidents that have been reported to police.”
However, rather than hiding from the police, Dodson responded in the comments section of the post, daring the officers to find him. His comment, “Come on boy you know who I am kidd,” seemed to mock the force and encourage them to locate him.
His taunt didn’t go unnoticed, and one user even called him a “legend” for his boldness. But the police were quick to update the appeal, saying: “Update: Jordan has now been arrested. Thank you for supporting our appeal.”
While Dodson’s taunt appeared to show confidence, it ultimately led to his arrest, proving that mocking the police on social media isn’t the best strategy when you’re wanted by the law.
