A 37-year-old man from Bullhead City, Arizona, John Adam Steiner, was arrested on Thursday in connection with two bank robberies that occurred in January. Steiner appeared at the Bullhead City Police Department just as detectives were preparing a search warrant for his arrest.

Police said social media posts requesting help to identify the suspect, featuring surveillance images from the robberies, led to a tip from a community member who recognized the man. The tipster identified the truck seen in the surveillance footage as matching Steiner’s vehicle.

On the evening of his arrest, Steiner walked into the Bullhead City Police lobby to report a weapons offense. He claimed that someone had pointed a gun at him and accused him of being the “bank robber” from the recently posted social media images. As detectives worked to confirm the suspect’s involvement in the robberies, they arrested Steiner on suspicion of robbery.

Further investigation revealed that Steiner had driven his truck to the police station, which was later searched by authorities. Inside his truck, they discovered clothing, sunglasses, a hat, and masks, all of which matched the items worn by the bank robber seen in surveillance footage from both Bullhead City and Kingman. Additionally, notes demanding money from the bank tellers were found, directly linking Steiner to the robberies.

The robberies occurred on January 3 in Bullhead City and a week later in Kingman. The Bullhead City Police Department had posted a reward of $1,000 for any information leading to the suspect’s arrest, which prompted the public tip.

John Adam Steiner was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman, where he awaits further proceedings in connection with the bank robberies.
