GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) – A Hart County couple is facing multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Glasgow led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
On Sunday, officers with the Glasgow Police Department pulled over a vehicle on N.L. Roger Wells Boulevard. The driver was identified as Jessie Jackson, 46, and the passenger as Samantha Jackson, 35.
Upon checking their records, officers learned that Samantha Jackson had an active warrant. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to a police news release.
Jessie Jackson was arrested and charged with:
Disregarding a traffic control device
No registration plates
No registration receipt
First-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Samantha Jackson was arrested and charged with:
First-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Both were taken to the Barren County Detention Center, where they are being held on a $2,500 cash bond each.
