Vacaville, CA – On December 4, 2024, Vacaville resident Jesse Carl Robinson, 32, was arrested by the Vacaville Police Department on multiple charges including attempted shoplifting, felony false impersonation, narcotics possession, and outstanding warrants related to theft.
Robinson was reported to the police by two community members who saw him attempt to steal from Ulta at the Nut Tree Plaza. Although his shoplifting attempt was unsuccessful, officers investigated the incident, finding narcotics and drug paraphernalia in Robinson’s possession.
When questioned, Robinson initially provided false identification, giving the name, birthday, and address of a local resident. However, a fingerprint test revealed his true identity. Police believe Robinson gave a false identity to avoid the consequences of three outstanding warrants totaling over $60,000 in bail, including charges related to theft and burglary.
On the same day, two other men, Naivy Miranda, 30, and Jose Hernandez, 28, of San Francisco, were arrested for shoplifting at the Tommy Hilfiger store. The men allegedly stole over $1,500 worth of merchandise from five stores. The two were booked into Solano County Jail on felony shoplifting charges.
The Vacaville Police Department has reported an increase in shoplifting incidents as the holiday season progresses, with extra officers stationed in retail areas to combat theft.
