FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) — A routine attempt to locate a suspect turned into a major arrest operation, resulting in the apprehension of three individuals. Jeremiah McDonald, 31, was arrested for outstanding warrants related to robbery, third-degree assault, theft, and drug offenses. Blade Kenyon, 30, was taken into custody for possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing police, and five outstanding warrants from Cass County. Mackenzie Higdem, 22, was arrested for refusal to halt and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Sunday, December 29, Fargo Police initiated a search for McDonald at a residence in the 2500 block of 9th Street North. While searching the area, officers located a white Jeep Patriot that had been recently stolen from Moorhead. Kenyon and Higdem were inside the vehicle and fled when police approached.

The Moorhead Police Department and Clay County Sheriff’s Office later located the stolen Jeep in Moorhead. Police briefly chased the vehicle before ending the pursuit due to reckless driving. The Jeep was then seen returning to Fargo, where it was last spotted near 25th Street and 32nd Avenue South.

During the search for Kenyon and Higdem, a Fargo officer spoke with a victim of a vehicle theft that occurred on December 27. The victim provided valuable information, helping officers track McDonald down near 21st Avenue and 15th Street South, where he was arrested.

As McDonald was taken into custody, another officer responded to a tip about the stolen Jeep being parked in a garage at 3500 block of 42nd Street South. The caller reported overhearing Kenyon and Higdem discussing their attempt to flee from police. Upon arrival, Kenyon was arrested without incident, and Higdem fled on foot before being apprehended.
