Jeff Lamb’s Stolen Karaoke Gear Leads to Arrest

Toledo man charged after $15K trailer theft

TOLEDO, Ohio — Jeff Lamb, 67, is keeping the music alive despite the theft of his trailer full of karaoke equipment last week.

Lamb hosted his regular Monday night karaoke at Danny’s Cafe in Rossford using borrowed gear from Chris Bitters of Big Fish Sound in Wauseon, after discovering his own trailer missing from his podcasting studio, “The Man Cave,” in Toledo’s Point Place neighborhood. The trailer contained roughly $15,000 worth of equipment.

“I really wish he wouldn’t have taken it… but man, it’s almost worth it just seeing how people reacted to this because you never know where you stand until something like this happens,” Lamb said.

By Sunday, Toledo Police had arrested a suspect. Michael Sharp, 46, a resident of Point Place, is charged with the theft. Police used FLOCK cameras to track Sharp, who allegedly dumped the trailer over the state line in Michigan and returned in his car with the stolen trailer’s license plate.

Sylvania police recovered some of Lamb’s karaoke equipment, though the trailer itself remains missing. Lamb says he is grateful for the community’s support during the ordeal.
