Jayden Steele Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges

Wrestler accused of assault, kidnapping, and months-long abuse

by Amelia Crawford

PENSACOLA, FL – Independent professional wrestler Jayden Steele, whose real name is Jordan Williams, is facing multiple felony charges related to domestic violence, after his arrest on May 29 near Pensacola, Florida.

Steele was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping/false imprisonment, battery, and battery by strangulation—all under Florida’s domestic violence statutes.

The disturbing case came to light when a note written by the victim was discovered in the bathroom of a Jersey Mike’s restaurant in Navarre. The handwritten plea stated the victim was being held against her will and warned police not to approach the house unless her vehicle was in the driveway, fearing that Steele’s parents might alert him. The note, which was found by restaurant employees about 20 minutes after being left, also read:

“Please help get me home! HELP! Get me before May 30th!”

Authorities used Florida’s Driver License and Master Name Index System to identify both the victim and Steele. Investigators confirmed Steele had been previously reported for controlling behavior toward the same woman, including a January 2024 incident.

The victim’s ex-husband described the relationship as abusive and detailed previous horrific acts allegedly committed by Steele, including tying the victim to a bed, spitting tobacco into her mouth, and urinating on her.

Law enforcement executed a search warrant on May 28, where they found the victim at Steele’s home. She confirmed writing the bathroom note and told police she had been held captive for 6 to 8 months, enduring repeated physical and psychological abuse. She described being assaulted in March and twice in May, including being strangled, punched, and threatened with a knife.

The victim presented photo evidence of her injuries—ranging from black eyes and welts to suspected broken bones. She was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

Although Steele denied the accusations, he was identified by police as the primary aggressor based on the evidence and the victim’s sworn statement. Prosecutors are moving to deny bail pending trial.

Steele has pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial. He is being held at Santa Rosa County Jail and is represented by a public defender. His arraignment is set for June 19.
