Goa police have arrested Janardan Khorate, the prime suspect, along with three others, in connection with a violent robbery at a residence in Anjuna.
According to police reports, Bronwynn Sinary, a resident of St Michael Waddo, Anjuna, filed a complaint stating that on February 8, a group of 15 to 20 individuals—led by Khorate—forcefully entered her home and carried out the robbery.
Sinary claimed the intruders broke open the door and stole several items, including a laptop, suitcases, printers, and Rs 3 lakh in cash. In a disturbing escalation, the gang also allegedly abducted her domestic worker.
The complainant added that she had received threatening calls from Khorate prior to the incident. Based on her statement, police have charged the suspects with dacoity and abduction.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to trace the remaining accomplices involved in the crime.
