Woman faces multiple theft and fraud charges

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jamaria T. Brooks early Thursday morning on multiple charges, including coordinated retail theft, repeat theft, and fraud, according to official records.

Brooks was taken into custody under Report No. 377666, published at 6:21 a.m. on January 23, 2026. Authorities allege she engaged in:

Coordinated retail theft with one or more individuals involving property valued over $3,000

Retail theft over $750 at multiple locations with prior convictions

Fraud—communicating to defraud property valued at $300 or more

Police did not immediately release further details about the alleged thefts or fraud, or whether any victims were harmed. Public records also did not include Brooks’ date of birth, bond information, or scheduled court dates.
