Jaclyn Johnson Arrested After Car Theft in Linthicum

Police say vehicle was left running outside business

LINTHICUM, Md. — Anne Arundel County police arrested Jaclyn Marie Johnson, 38, early Friday morning after she allegedly stole a vehicle that had been left running outside a business.

Police say the incident occurred just before 1 a.m. on Feb. 6 in the 700 block of Nursery Road. The victim reported that she briefly entered a business, leaving her gray 2025 Chevy Trailblazer unattended with the engine running.

According to authorities, Johnson got into the vehicle and drove away. With assistance from a witness, the victim followed the stolen SUV until it came to a stop near the intersection of Nursery Road and Hammonds Ferry Road.

Johnson reportedly attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by responding officers.

She was taken into custody without further incident. Additional charging details were not immediately released.
