ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. — Authorities say a 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash in Slidell that left two people dead and three others injured last month.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, Isaac Robertson of Slidell was taken into custody on Tuesday and faces multiple charges, including:
Two counts of vehicular homicide
Two counts of first-degree vehicular negligent injuring
One count of second-offense DWI
One count of reckless operation
One count of driving with a suspended license
Deputies said the crash occurred on Sunday, Sept. 21, around 9 a.m. near Allen Road between Highway 190 and Voters Road. The collision involved a Ford Focus and a Mercedes sedan traveling in opposite directions.
Investigators say Robertson, who was driving the Ford, crossed the centerline, causing a head-on crash. The Ford’s passenger died at the scene, while the Mercedes driver later died at the hospital. Three other people, including Robertson, were injured and hospitalized.
Robertson was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on the listed charges.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details about the victims.
