Two Houston Men Arrested After Theft and Vehicle Pursuit in League City

Two Houston men were arrested Tuesday afternoon following a theft at Ulta Beauty and a vehicle pursuit that spanned several miles in League City.

The incident began at approximately 3:00 p.m. on April 29, 2025, when League City Police were alerted to a theft in progress at the Ulta Beauty store located at 3120 S Gulf Freeway, Suite A. Officers learned that the suspects had fled the scene in a silver Chevy Cobalt.

Officer Jones spotted the vehicle just one minute later and attempted a traffic stop. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Orlando Ferrer Garcia, failed to stop and a high-speed pursuit ensued. The chase continued through South I-45, the NASA Bypass, SH 3, and FM 518.

The pursuit ended around 3:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Friendswood Drive when the vehicle struck a curb and came to a stop in a grassy area. Both Garcia and his passenger, 20-year-old Fernando Grabey Suarez, were taken into custody without further incident.

Garcia has been charged with Evading Arrest/Detention in a Motor Vehicle, with a bond set at $250,000, and Theft of Property valued between $2,500 and $30,000, with a bond set at $60,000. Suarez faces charges of Theft of Property between $2,500 and $30,000, with a bond set at $10,000, and Tampering with Evidence, also with a $10,000 bond.
