Police in Rajouri district seized more than 500 grams of heroin from the house of an arrested drug peddler, Jaswinder Kumar alias Sonu, on Wednesday. The seizure took place at Lamberi in Nowshera sector, the residence of Kumar, who is allegedly the kingpin of a large drug-peddling racket.
Kumar was arrested on February 4, and based on his disclosure, two of his aides were arrested on February 14 from Sair Bhawani village in Nowshera. Police recovered a substantial amount of high-grade heroin, weighing 6 kilograms, valued at approximately Rs 30 crore.
The investigation continues as authorities work to dismantle the drug network, with further arrests and seizures expected.
