The Indore Crime Branch has successfully apprehended a wanted drug trafficker, Haroon Rasid Gajnabi (50), from Nagri village, Daloda, Mandsaur, who was allegedly involved in supplying MD drugs to the city. Gajnabi had been evading police in connection with a prior case.
Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya stated that on September 9, officers arrested Samir Shah (32) from Chandan Nagar, Indore, with approximately 61 grams of brown sugar. During interrogation, Shah revealed that he had procured the consignment from Gajnabi. Acting on this lead, two police teams were deployed to trace the fugitive.
Through technical surveillance and intelligence inputs, Gajnabi was located and taken into custody. He reportedly confessed to his role in the drug network during questioning. Following his arrest, he was produced before court, which granted police remand for further investigation.
Officials emphasized that this operation is part of a broader crackdown on organised narcotics networks in Indore, carried out under directives from senior police authorities. Legal proceedings and further investigations are ongoing to dismantle the trafficking chain.
