A wave of shock and tension gripped the area after a man was allegedly beaten to death by his wife following a domestic dispute on Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Jalaluddin, while the accused is his wife, Halema.
According to sources, frequent quarrels had erupted between the couple over demands for cash and land. It is alleged that Halema had repeatedly pressured her husband for money and property and assaulted him whenever he refused.
On Thursday night, another argument reportedly broke out when Jalaluddin declined her demand for money. In a fit of rage, Halema allegedly assaulted him brutally, leaving him critically injured. He was later rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, Jagiroad police arrested Halema and launched a detailed investigation into the matter. Authorities are examining the circumstances leading to the fatal assault and recording statements from relevant witnesses.
