Geron Scott Arrested in Connection to Birmingham Bank Robbery

Fairfield man charged with third-degree robbery after chase

Birmingham, Ala. (WBMA) — A Fairfield man, 30-year-old Geron Scott, was arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Birmingham on Monday.

According to the Birmingham Police Department, Scott was charged with third-degree robbery. On March 31, around 3:30 p.m., officers were called to Chase Bank on Crossplex Boulevard, where a suspect had entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. After the robbery, the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

The police department’s Real Time Crime Center provided crucial information to officers, enabling them to capture Scott in Fairfield within an hour of the incident. Scott was booked into the Jefferson County Jail with a $15,000 bond.
