IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) — A man who called himself the “fraud God” was arrested in Irvine on Friday after police discovered a range of fraudulent materials in his possession. Ryan John Hein, 44, from Yorba Linda, was apprehended outside a storage facility on Warner Avenue while carrying multiple fraudulent documents and narcotics.

The Irvine Police Department launched an investigation, leading them to Hein’s storage unit, where they discovered various tools used for illegal activities. These included credit card skimmers, which capture card information at ATMs or gas stations, as well as fake DMV paperwork, card printers, and other fraud-related devices.

Hein was arrested and booked into the Irvine jail on charges related to fraud and narcotics. The investigation is still ongoing as police look into further aspects of Hein’s criminal activities.
