FRANKFORT, Ky. — A Frankfort man was arrested Sunday after allegedly stealing his mother’s vehicle.

Frankfort police responded around 4:12 p.m. to a report on Holmes Street regarding a stolen vehicle. The victim told officers her son, 43-year-old Christopher Jacobs, had taken the car and was likely heading to a gas station to gamble.

Police located the vehicle at Blues Gas Station, where an employee provided video footage showing Jacobs arriving and entering the store.

Jacobs was arrested and is being held on $5,000 cash bond at Franklin County Regional Jail. He faces charges including theft by unlawful taking ($1,000–$10,000), operating on a suspended license, and no operator’s/moped license.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 18, 2025.
