Four individuals—Karan Joshi, Arjun Joshi, Jagdish, and Sananda—were arrested on Monday in connection with the murder of Babu Jadhav in Sambalpur district. All accused reside in Daldali Pada under the jurisdiction of Khetrajpur police station.

The case surfaced after the discovery of a body inside the Burla Power Tunnel on August 9. The body was seized by Burla police and sent for post-mortem examination. On August 13, a complaint was filed by a resident of Daldali Pada reporting his brother, Babu Jadhav, missing. Police later confirmed that the body found was indeed Babu’s.

Following a detailed investigation, Khetrajpur police arrested the four suspects. Officers recovered an iron rod, a knife, and a vehicle from their possession. “Two accused are alleged to have committed the murder, while the others helped dispose of the body. Scientific evidence is being collected, and a charge sheet will be filed soon,” said Sambalpur SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo.

The investigation is ongoing.
