Four men—Sonu, Bablu, Akash, and Rahul—were arrested in connection with a violent robbery that took place on the night of January 4 in Karnera village. The suspects, armed with guns, broke into the home of local resident Naveen around midnight, threatening the family at gunpoint before fleeing with jewellery and valuables worth several lakhs.
The stolen items included two necklaces, four rings, two gold chains, a gold coin, 500 grams of silver, and a mobile phone. The crime was reported on January 5, prompting a thorough police investigation.
Sonu, a resident of Sector 56 and previously employed as a painter at the targeted house, is believed to have masterminded the robbery. He has multiple pending cases involving robbery and snatching. Bablu from Nangla village, Akash from Sector 62, and Rahul from Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh, were also apprehended. Bablu is additionally an accused in a murder case.
Police continue to investigate the case as they pursue the remaining suspects involved in the robbery.
