Former Army Personnel Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Shimla

Kulwant, 42, Arrested for Allegedly Peddling Heroin in Rohru Region

A former Army personnel has been arrested in the Rohru region of Shimla district for his involvement in drug trafficking, primarily heroin (chitta). The accused, Kulwant (42), a resident of Chirgaon, Shimla, was detained by the police.

Kulwant, who retired from his Army service in 2019, was allegedly working as a drug peddler for Kapil Rajta, an interstate drug dealer. Kapil Rajta had also been arrested by the police in the Rohru region recently.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pranav Chauhan confirmed the arrest and stated that the investigation is ongoing.
